Go on an adventure to bring back color to the world :D!

new demo > <!
it has mostly a lot of smaller fixes since most of my hours were for the next transition scene, but I did add a reward level (that'll be a bit more dynamic next update), fixed the backward scrolling clouds, and made sure the bg is smooth without any flashes :]
Added a reward scene at the end of the current level > <! parallax bg also broke so I fixed way too long fixing that :D... rip :v:

I fixed the flashing grey issue with my parallax background (many thanks to the kind reviewer that pointed it out :D) then struggled for way too long to commit to git though i think(?) i should be fine now though > <!
To-Do List

godot export: 0/5 fun score :D!
second demo! I didn't get as much done as I wanted to, but I did improve the background (added scrolling clouds and animated character) and change the colors for the fish so they stood out a bit more :] I was planning to add some sort of sfx for the arrows from previous playtester's reviews but I couldn't find anything that meshed well with the current audio, so please give me any suggestions you might have for that > <!
Just incase the UI isn't visible, they keybinds are WASD in fish order- I hope you enjoy :D!
Added a parallax background, created a animation for the character, and colored in the fish in order to give it some distinction from the background. (I did add a very basic instructions label for keybinds but I didn't wanna spend more time building a tutorial level when the reality level's only supposed to be a pretty small part of the game :D...) I'll probably add some rain then move on to the more fun worlds > <
11+ hours of coding so off it goes :D it's way too late so I'll fix positions, add main menu, and rain/cloud/walking animations later :] as of this demo, the rhythm game for the first world is (mostly) done > <! If the game sizing is weird for you, I tried the tip with canvas item to get it to fit the screen, but it's still weird if not fullscreen :-: at this point though it's just another issue I'll fix later, so please have mercy on the game screen as chopped as the game itself u_u
Finally have a rhythm game that at least doesn't throw a million errors at me :D what a joyous day :)

it's extremely chopped, but it is my first attempt working with godot and I am therefore very proud of myself (even if pressing a single button means my game will explode in a not good way u-u)
basically: added fish rhythm minigame :]! player is now getting battered by rain and fish :D!

finished the super lore important vending machine & finished the character for the cutscene after the first level :]! I mighttt work on either level selection or the background for the first level (or, you know, coding the rhythm minigame I've been procrastinating on... :D)

worked on a transition scene :D
+designed new character
+super lore important vending machine!
still have to add some more details + refine the new character (& upload artlogs :'D), but I need to go touch grass u_u

After adding a some in between frames and doing a unholy ton of editing (why do I do this to myself?) I finally have a animation I'm pretty happy with :D!
never again ^^
on a happier note moving on to the blue world next, so color incoming :D!!
Tried and failed to upload the timelapse video for artlog so decided to just share my first four world sprites until I can troubleshoot :D

Drew the starting screen for my game :D I'll start on adding scenes & transitions into the actual game tomorrow :]..
I set up GoDot + Hacktime and started brainstorming on my game :D
